The Gardens

If you are a garden society member you have access to the communal plots at every garden.

Simcoe Park – @ Simcoe Park- 8th and Royal

Plot Designation:
4 plots for communal use by garden society members
4 plots for societies/groups
30 plots for garden society members of which 4 will be raised for accessibility

St. Mary’s Park Garden, located at 85 Merivale Street (beside École Qayqayt Elementary School)

There are 20 plots, 16 of which are cared for by individual garden members.

2 plots are designated for use by students/teachers at École Qayqayt Elementary School.

2 plots are designated as donation plots and are tended to by a local community group for their use and garden involvement.

St. Mary’s Park Garden is home to mason bees which help to pollinate the garden, as well as a welcoming public seating area. Espalier fruit trees, blueberry bushes and strawberry plants surround the garden and are cared for by The City.

City Hall

There are 24 plots consisting of 1/2 of a raised bed each. Plots are tended to by a mixture of individual members in addition to local community groups including the New West Farmers Market.
There is currently 1/4 plot designated as a donation/communal plot which is open to gardening society members.
Garden supplies are stored in a shed built by students at NWSS.
